Mireya Aguilar
Company’s director.
English, French and Spanish teacher, technical audiovisual translator and Cambridge Speaking Examiner
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish Philology (University of Barcelona). She also holds a Master’s Degree in Technical Translation: English-Spanish (University of York, Toronto) and a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation (UAB, Barcelona). She has been working as an English and Spanish teacher for seven years in several private schools and companies in Catalonia.
Internationally, she has taught English as a foreign language at King George’s International College (Toronto). On the other hand, she collaborates with several dubbing companies by subtitling films, short films and video games and she has been coordinator of the first English summer camp in Sant Llorenç d’Hortons (Barcelona). She has also been working as Associate Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
She has a strong relationship with Cambridge ESOL examinations. On one hand, she has not only prepared students for official exams, but also organized exam sessions. On the other hand, she is a Cambridge oral examiner.
Xènia Catalán
English teacher and Head of Studies
Student of English & Spanish Philology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has been studying English at the academy since she was very young until she achieved the C2 Proficiency level. She studied in Ireland back in 2019 while she was living with a native family there.
She has always been interested in education. She has been teaching students with learning disabilities since 2019. Her biggest passion is teaching, especially children.
She confronts the classes with hope and wishful, since it is the ideal opportunity to develop her passion.
Èrika Tamayo
English and French teacher
She has been studying and practising English daily since she was little and, from then on, her passion and interest in the language haven’t stopped.
She takes her classes with enthusiasm and devotion with the desire of the students to be at ease and to have fun while learning.
Unai Castro
English and Chinese teacher
Student of Catalan and Hispanic Philology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, from a very young age he studied English in an academy until he obtained Cambridge certification. At the same time, he combined it with the study of Chinese for 6 years at the Institut Nou in Vilafranca del Penedès, where he previously studied.
Since 2021 he has been teaching English, Catalan, and Spanish to children and teenagers with learning disabilities. All of them were in Primary and Secondary education.
With devotion to teaching children, he faces the days with hope, being sympathetic and close to them, so they can learn in a pleasant but constant way.
Ariadna Sánchez
English teacher
Her first contact with English took place at the age of 5 and she currently holds official certification. Even though she is studying a scientific branch she has a huge passion for languages, which has led her to want to dedicate herself to it in the future.
Her passion for languages has led her to want to convey her frenzy in the classroom to make learning a new language more enjoyable.
Carla Ollé
English teacher
She holds a degree in Pre-School Education from the University of Barcelona, and is currently finishing her Master’s Degree in Psychopedagogy at the Open University of Catalonia (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, UOC). She studied English at the academy since she was little, until she achieved the C2 level.
She has been teaching English to children and teenagers for several courses and she enjoys working with both groups.
She has the vocation for teaching, that is why she has specialized in the educational area and continues training. Additionally, she feels close to her students and takes the classes with enthusiasm, so that her pupils feel comfortable, learn and have fun.
